More than half of Australian couples say their birthday party is the most fun they’ve had in years, according to a new survey.
The survey of more than 1,000 Australians found that 40 per cent of the population has a birthday party, compared with just 19 per cent who have not, with the majority of those celebrating with friends or family.
“It’s definitely a social activity,” said Leanne Wood, who is in her mid-40s.
“I just think it’s fun to be there.”
While most of us celebrate our birthday at home, there are some things you need to consider when choosing a birthday venue.
“One of the biggest problems is that you’ve got so many options when it comes to birthday parties, there’s so many different ways to do it,” she said.
“You can go to a restaurant and have a cocktail party, or a bar, or go to an event centre and go to parties.”
Ms Wood said she has enjoyed going to parties and parties, but she would not go to her birthday party on her own.
“The fact is that it’s always been that way, it’s just always been there and it’s been there for so long,” she explained.
“We’re always looking to create a more positive and positive experience for everyone.”
And that’s something I think most of my friends have been trying to do, they’re always trying to find new ways to celebrate their birthday.

The majority of participants (68 per cent) said they enjoyed their birthday parties the most, while only 6 per cent said they did not.
