Posted January 17, 2019 09:24:08 The grocery chain, which has a strong presence in the East Coast, will begin expanding its operations in 2020, it said on Monday.
Lowes has planned to open about 100 new stores by the end of 2020.
It also plans to open offices in the United Kingdom and France, according to a statement.
The announcement comes amid ongoing debate about the future of the company, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in March.
While many people say the company is no longer a viable business, the grocery chain is looking to diversify into a variety of areas including technology, consumer goods and consumer products, according an analyst.
